Clear Right!

The Door Gunner clears Shark UH-1C 66-00590 (Pink Panther) out of the revetment. Steve says this photo was taken in late 69 or early 70, he's not sure which, and was taken as the guns were being scrambled out on a mission. Note the partial-protective covering on the sliding door window. The door had just been replaced and some very sticky glue-backed brown paper covered the new plexiglass windows to protect them during shipment. "It was a pain to get it off the plexiglass. The artwork of the Pink Panther was done by SP4 Phillip Luft."
