Note the mix of subdued insignia and bright insignia. The Army was in the process of going to
all subdued insignia and rank on the fatigue uniforms. My wings are white, Mitchells are black;
my name tag is OD, Mitchell's is white. Rank insignia was still bright. That would soon change.
